Faceoff for the Stollery
LMHA U13 Memorial Classic · Player & Team Fundraising Challenge
Overview
Faceoff for the Stollery is the fundraising heartbeat of the LMHA U13 Memorial Classic. All attending teams are invited to rally support for the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation through individual and team fundraising.
Every dollar raised powers lifesaving care and turns a weekend of hockey into something that reaches far beyond the rink.
How the Fundraising Challenge Works
Players create their own online fundraising pages and share them with friends, family, and the community. Fundraising totals roll up to both the player and team leaderboards.
- Top 38 skaters and top 2 goalies overall earn a spot in the Faceoff for the Stollery showcase game.
- The 40 fundraisers are drafted into two teams of 20 for the special game.
- Player selections are made on Wednesday, December 10 at 8:00 p.m. MST.
- The top fundraising team is recognized on Friday, December 12 at 11:00 a.m. MST.
- The top fundraising team earns a tournament pizza party and bragging rights.
Fundraise hard, climb the leaderboard, and help your team skate away with the title.

Special Guests
We’ll have some special faces joining the action:
- Hunter from the Edmonton Oilers will be reffing the game.
- Dr. Patch-Up from the Stollery will be on the bench supporting our athletes.
Tournament rules still apply, but expect a few creative moments and a lot of smiles.
Player Stories
Many of our players and families have personal connections to the Stollery Children’s Hospital. Players who would like to share their Stollery story are welcome to submit it to the tournament organizers.
Selected stories may be featured during the event to remind everyone why this game matters.

New Stollery Children’s Hospital

After years of advocacy, a new, stand-alone Stollery Children’s Hospital is on the way. The Government of Alberta has secured land on the University of Alberta’s South Campus for a state-of-the-art hospital designed exclusively for kids and families, built for the future.
This transformational project will provide more space to care for children, private rooms for patients, modern pediatric technology, and a healing environment built just for kids.
To make this vision a reality, the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation has launched the No Bounds campaign — a once-in-a-generation effort to raise $1 billion.
Through Stollery No Bounds, your generosity helps:
- Build the new stand-alone Stollery
- Equip the existing hospital with critical technologies kids can’t wait for
- Advance pediatric research and innovation
- Strengthen family-centred programs and mental health care
- Train the next generation of pediatric specialists
Together, we can build the Stollery kids deserve — today and tomorrow.
